Answers to common questions about our nutrition services, please feel free to get in touch if you have any further enquiries.
Do I need a referral?
No, you do not need a referral to see a Dietitian. Medicare rebates for individual sessions are available with a referral from your GP.
Can I claim a rebate for my appointment?
Yes, funding for dietetic consultations are possible via:
- A Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan from your GP.
- Private Health Insurance (please check with your insurance provider to see if you are eligible).
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
What are your payment terms?
Begin Well Nutrition operates as a pay-on-the day-clinic. We kindly ask that you settle the invoice upon the completion of your appointment. For sessions conducted via telehealth, the invoice is taken care of within 48 hours.
We accept cash, EFTPOS, or credit cards
Do I need to bring anything to the appointment?
We ask all new clients to complete a pre-appointment form to help us learn more about you and your child. If you do have a GP/Paediatrician referral or have any relevant blood tests/results for your child, please bring them to the first appointment, if possible.
What to expect for the first appointment?
The initial appointment is an opportunity for me to get to know you and your child. I will complete a nutritional assessment, collecting information on your child’s growth, current dietary intake and eating patterns, their medical history and mealtime behaviours. Together, we will then develop goals and an individualised plan for your child.
What if we cannot attend the appointment?
If you are unable to attend the appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can help you reschedule.
